Events

Darlene and Bob Cusick will be returning to First Presbyterian Church this fall.  Darlene has enjoyed playing the organ and piano recitals there occasionally, and looks forward to more such opportunities.  Her final service here at Rise will be Sunday, August 31st.  Please come and take this opportunity to thank Darlene for her many years of sharing her beautiful music with us.  There will be a reception immediately following worship that day.  

Darlene served as assistant organist at First Presbyterian and sang in the choir under the direction of James Welty.  She later became organist at Valley Community Presbyterian where she served for many years.  In 2014, she became organist and choir accompanist here at Calvin/Rise and has served for eleven years.  She has shared her amazing talent with our congregation in worship, concerts, and recitals.  We are grateful for the deep enrichment of musical experience she has brought to our church.

Bob shared with me that his mother and father met in the choir at First Presbyterian, where his grandmother was a soloist as well.  He grew up worshiping there and feels a deep connection there.

We wish Bob & Darlene God’s blessings as they enjoy this transition to their new church home.
