The City of Tigard has awarded Rise Church with a grant of $5,000 to purchase quality backpacks for middle school and high school students in need! With these funds we plan to purchase over 200 backpacks for students who are starting school in the fall of 2025.
Please join us on Wednesday, August 6th, at 6:00 pm at Rise Church for our annual backpack party where we will unwrap the backpacks, write an encouraging note to the students and bless the backpacks before they are delivered to the Tigard School District.
Afterwards, please join us for an ice cream treat! If you are unable to attend and would still like to participate, we encourage you to write a note to the recipients and deliver these notes to the office.
